Of course in Pisa you should start with Piazza del Duomo well known as Piazza dei Miracoli which is the main center of art and tourism of the city. You could stay there for a long time and just to admire the beauty and originality of the miracles there: the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Monumental Cemetery and the the Leaning Tower of course. Everything made with white marble, the green earth down and the blue sky over - it is a spectacular view that surely you will remember for all your life. In 1987 Piazza dei Miracoli was included between sites recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage.

Duomo di Pisa (The Cathedral)
Duomo di Pisa (The Cathedral) built in Piazza dei Miracoli in Pisa is one of the most beautiful monuments in the Romanesque style of Italy. The facades of the Cathedral of Pisa in Piazza dei Miracoli are composed of blind arches and crowned by four rows of loggias. Outside of the Cathedral of Pisa are notable three bronze doors are richly decorated and in paintings and frescoes from the sixteenth to the nineteenth century.
Torre Pendente (Leading Tower)
The most famous historical monument of Piazza dei Miracoli in Pisa is the Bell Tower of the Cathedral known to most as the Tower or the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The Tower of Pisa is famous worldwide for its particular angle, this is due to land subsidence and reduced several times over the centuries by various methods and materials.
The Leaning Tower or Campanile, begun in 1173 by Bonanno and stopped on the third floor for the failure of the soil, is resumed after a century by Giovanni di Simone, who comes up to the sixth floor, and finished in the middle of the '300. The Leaning Tower has the structure of a huge pit, 54.8 m high in the lower part and 55.65 in the highest. It has a spiral staircase of 294 steps leading to the terrace.
From the terrace where the bells are placed you could enjoy a breathtaking view of Piazza dei Miracoli and Pisa.
Il Battistero (The Baptistery)
Il Battistero (The Baptistery) located in Piazza dei Miracoli is a Romanesque building. Particular detail of this monument is its circular shape, surrounded by arcades with Gothic ornaments and an octagonal cupola. It is recommended to pay particular attention to its internal "Pulpit" by Nicola Pisano, the first work of Italian Gothic sculpture.
Camposanto Monumentale (Monumental Cemetery)
On of the monuments in Piazza dei Miracoli in Pisa is the Camposanto Monumentale (Monumental Cemetery) It is surrounded by walls of white marble and contains works such as paintings and sculptures of the Romanesque-Gothic style.
Museo dell'Opera del Duomo of Pisa
The Museo dell'Opera del Duomo of Pisa is located in the 13th century chapter house of the Cathedral standing on the Piazza dei Miracoli. It regroups works of art which originally came from the Cathedral and Baptistery as well as examples of Pisan religious art. Particular detail to note is the original bronze San Ranieri Gate, sculptures by Tino di Camaino and Giovanni Pisano, including his ivory Virgin and Child completed in 1300 for the main altar of the Cathedral. Other remarkable items to see here are the remains of garments of Saint Ranieri, a hermit who was the patron saint of Pisa, as well as a medieval reliquary which, according to the tradition, contains stones from Golgotha. In addition there are numerous other 17th and 18th century reliquaries, a collection of holy facings, religious manuscripts, 15th to 17th century paintings and wooden scale models of the square's monuments. In addition there is a magnificent view of the Leaning Tower from the chapter house cloister which is accessible from the museum.
Sinope Museum (Museo delle Sinopie)
On the south part of Piazza dei Miracoli was built the hospital, imposed in 1257 by Papa Alessandro IV as a sign of the reconciliation with the Apostolic, after the crisis that continued more than fifteen years, where they received assistance pilgrims, poor and sick people. This large building now housing the Sinopie Museum - Museo delle Sinopie.
