Cinque Terre is one of the most fascinated places in the Italian Riviera. Cinque Terre includes the five lands: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Riomaggiore. This land is extremely picturesque due to its situation between the Mediteranean Sea and the high mountains steeply sloping to the sea on one side and on the other side the beautifully colored small picturesque villages connected between them with Via dell'Amore.
Cinque Terre together with Portovenere and the Islands (Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto) are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

How to go to Cinque Terre?
Going to Cinque Terre you should know that all these villages are very small and situated in a very narrow space on the rocks. So why it is very hard o find a parking there, almost impossible and you must leave your car somewhere very high in the mountain or in the nearby villages and to go there by train, bus or boat.
- By Air
The most close airport is the one of Genova.

- By Train
All five villages are on the Tyrrhenian railway line Genova - Roma and the trains are maybe the most used transport between all these villages. They are very regular and comfortable to use.
Whether you are coming from the north, whether you are coming from the south you should go to La Spezia Central Station, where all trains stop long-distance, and then take the regional trains. Some Intercity trains stop at the station also at Riomaggiore and Monterosso al Mare. The last train is around 24.00 p.m. and the next is at 6.00 a.m. the next morning.

- By Car
As it written here make first to find a village and place where to leave your car in parking and then go to Cinque Terre by Train or Boat.
- By Boat
In the tourist season a scheduled boat service runs regularly through the villages of Monterosso, Vernazza, Manarola and Riomaggiore to Portovenere, in turn connected with La Spezia and Lerici. Corniglia does not have a landing point failing to coast.
- Go Around
There are two main paths (sentieri) that reach and cross the territory of the Cinque Terre, La Spezia, both reported from the section of the CAI.
The first is the Number 1 ridge trail, well known as "Alta Via delle Cinque Terre". This old path runs along the divide separating the coast of Cinque Terre and the Val di Vara is a sub-branch of the High Street of the Ligurian Mountains, which is connected with the Monte Zatta.
From the ridge trail you can then reach the villages of the Cinque Terre trails cross through one of which descend to the sea following the secondary ridges or valleys bounded by them. Most important, from west to east, are the routes number 9, 8, 7, 6, 02, 01 and 3.
Down, just close to the sea, you will find the coastal path Number 2, well known as "Sentiero Azzurro" (Blue Trail), which connects Levanto to Portovenere through the villages of the Cinque Terre and taking in the stretch between Riomaggiore and Manarola on the famous name of Love "Via dell'Amore".
"Via dell'Amore" is a pedestrian picturesque street overlooking the sea. Famous worldwide for its beauty and its breathtaking views, is one of the most important tourist attractions in the area and is an integral part of the National Park of Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage area.
Currently, to enter in "Sentiero Azzurro", you must purchase a day ticket cost 5.00 Euro or a card called the Park Cinque Terre Card that combines the entrance to the park with the use of regional trains to and from La Spezia Central / Levanto which costs 8.00 Euros for a day, 13.50 euros for two days, 18.50 euros for three days (info 2012).
