The Legend of Foundation of Cagliari
According to the Legend, as told by the Latin writer Solino, Caralis was founded by Aristeo, son of Apollo and the nymph Cirene, who arrived in Sardinia from Bezia in the fifteenth century BC. Aristeo introduced in Sardinia hunting and agriculture, bring peace to the indigenous people, on which later reigned.
According to some sources Aristeo was accompanied in Sardegna by Daedalus, who according to the ancient Greeks, was the architect of some impressive works (Nuraghi) on the island.
